White cloth and white buildings tend to be printed as plain white. It is also difficult to reproduce Glossy surfaces, such as metals, are also difficult to reproduse. To enhance the details, use the Curves dialog box in Photoshop. Choose Adjust from the Image menu and click "Curves" to access the Curves dialog box. |
The Curves dialog box has a straight diagonal line from the lower left to the upper right corner of the graph. If you click your Mouse at a point 1/4 from the bottom of the line and drag it slightly upwards, the details in the white areas will be enhanced but the overall image will become brighter. |
If you want to leave the shaded areas unchanged, drag the line from about 1/4 the distance from the upper right, and return the line to its original position. |
